The first time I met Lena and Dan in person, it was after an overnight flight to Dublin and a crash course in driving on the left side of the road. I was 20 weeks pregnant and a hot mess. They managed to graciously smile at me and pretend I looked somewhat presentable. We spent the day discovering Dublin for their "engagelopement" and finished with a traditional Irish dinner at sunset. Check out their engagement /elopement session on the colorful and charming streets of Dublin. :) After we parted Ireland, I couldn't wait to see them again at their wedding.
Fast forward a year and I got to see them again and their super cute pup and family. The entire day was so them; from the embroidered shirt, Italian heritage cufflinks, picnic-style dinner and the most unique (and wonderful) receiving line I've ever seen. They danced the night away only after Dan surprised Lena with a firework show. At one point in the night, one of their friends grabbed the mic and, with a perfect Eddie Vedder voice, joined the band! It was a celebration in every sense of the word. I'm so grateful to have been asked to join them on their journey and witness such a great love.
