2016 was a year full of personal changes, business triumphs, undiscovered countries and brand new friendships.
At the beginning of the year, I thought - this is going to be my favorite year yet and it certainly was. I traveled the world, discovered I was a medical anomaly, gave birth to the cutest baby girl on the planet and moved out of state (and prepared for another out of state move). The couples I worked with were unbelievably wonderful in so many ways. Because of my newly-discovered medical condition, I leaned on the photography community who supported me and helped me to provide rockstar service to a few of my amazing couples. This year was so unique because I felt such a connection with each and every one of my couples. The thing about this career is that because you are responsible for documenting such an intimate and personal moment in their lives, it's imperative that you find that connection and build trust with your clients. It's a huge load to bear, but so much more rewarding because of it. It becomes so much more than a business - it becomes a friendship and a I have been lucky to have felt such a kinship with each of them. It reminds me of how lucky I am to have such an incredibly important and fulfilling career.
I am so thankful for this year and the opportunity to document so many awesome love stories. I am finally setting roots down in St. Louis this summer and I can't wait to photograph so many more couples in my home state. I am so ready to fill my 2017 calendar with fabulous St. Louis couples, that I want to offer $500 off any collection booked to couples getting married in the StL area in 2017!! If are planning your big day in Missouri, I would love nothing more than to get to know you and your love and document the most important day of your lives. :)
