Having a baby is full of curve balls. You might go into the last few weeks of pregnancy with a perfectly laid-out plan, knowing it will be smooth sailing. Sometimes, life sends you for a loop and you might spend a few unexpected days in the NICU. Those exhausting days or weeks spent in the NICU are unpredictable, frightening and emotionally draining. Those days are just a tiny part of Lily's whole big story, but they show so much of her itty bitty personality. Lily is strong, determined and is going to grow up showing the world just what she is all about. As tough as it was to see their baby connected to machines and not at home with them, I am so glad Paul and Jess chose to document that time together. :)

And just like that, Lily came home. :)
